You don’t need a PT (just like I don’t need a plumber or an electrician).

No one knows you like YOU do! And you know best, right?

How’s that been working out for you?

I whole-heartedly agree with your delus…opinion, and here’s some points that will help you back up your decision not to hire a PT.

1. You Can Create Your Own Training Plan

Because who better to design a fitness regimen than someone who googled “how to get abs in two weeks” at 2 AM last night? Forget the hours and hours of professional training, testing and certification — your hastily written plan on a post-it note will surely get you those results in no time!

2. Train on Your Own

Because nothing motivates you to hit the gym like the thought of absolutely no one caring whether you show up or not. Plus, if you skip a workout, there’s zero guilt since you’re only letting yourself down—something you’ve been practicing for years!

3. Watch YouTube Workouts

YouTube videos are basically free personal trainers, right? Sure, the trainer on the screen can’t see you, correct your form, or stop you from skipping the hard parts, but that’s what makes it fun! Who needs accountability when you can just hit ‘pause’ during the burpees?

4. Stick to What You Know

Why expand your horizons when you’ve mastered the fine art of the elliptical at level 1? Forget trying new exercises that might actually challenge you—stick to the same routine you’ve been doing for years, even if your results are about as impressive as a goldfish’s memory.

5. Track Your Own Progress

Because tracking progress is so easy! All you need is a spreadsheet, a calendar, a scale, a measuring tape, 15 fitness apps, and the willpower of a monk. Or, just wing it! Who cares if your measurements haven’t changed in months—you’re consistent, and that counts for something, right?

6. No Awkward Conversations

Why endure the awkwardness of telling a PT you ate an entire pizza last night when you could just avoid human interaction altogether? After all, the less you talk about your goals, the less accountable you are, and that means no guilt trips when you’re “too busy” to work out.

7. Save Money for More Important Things

Why waste money on a personal trainer when you could spend it on something far more valuable, like fast food, delivery fees, or those streaming subscriptions you’ve been meaning to cancel for months? Your fitness and long-term health goals can wait; that new series won’t binge itself!

8. Ignore Proper Form

Sure, personal trainers love to nag about “proper form” and “avoiding injury,” but what do they know? You’ve perfected your unique exercise techniques, like half-squats and quarter-push-ups. Who needs full range of motion when you can make up for it with enthusiasm?

9. Set Your Own Goals (That You’ll Never Meet)

Set ambitious goals like “run a marathon next month” or “lose 20 pounds in a week.” Without a personal trainer holding you accountable, you can revise those goals as often as you’d like! Didn’t hit that target? No problem, just push the deadline back another month… or year.

10. Enjoy the Freedom to Quit Anytime

The best part about not having a PT is the freedom to quit whenever you want. Tired after one workout? Quit. Need a break after your warm-up? Quit. You’re in complete control of your own failures, and there’s something strangely empowering about that!

All Jokes Aside

If you’ve tried hypnotherapy and fat clubs, and failed…or considered surgery or wonder drugs, but hesitated after reading about the recovery or the side effects, THERE IS ANOTHER WAY.

A tried and tested, science-backed way to achieve the results you are seeking and maintain those high standards you have set for yourself.

It all comes down to your answer to one question:

Are you willing to invest in yourself?

Whether that’s to look good, feel good, be better able to get the most out of life with your partner, children, friends, etc. Figure out your “why?” and take a gamble on yourself.

Coach Deano
